Roger Dail Stump, 84, of Marysville, died Wednesday, March 1, 2017.

He was born April 16, 1932 in Morrow County, Ohio to the late Dail and Leona Stump. He married Margie Ann Squires on July 11, 1952 in Port Huron.

Roger served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed with Mueller Brass Co. prior to his retirement. He enjoyed tinkering on cars and lawn mowers and watching NASCAR. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and for always having a piece of candy to give to everyone he met.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margie; daughters, Susan (Bill) Gaffney, Teri Giles, Lori (Andy) Janiszewski and Cindy (Darwin) Williams; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Ralph Stump; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Irvine and Reta Maraget.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2017 in the Marysville Funeral Home. Military honors will be conducted at 8 p.m. under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.

Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Water Hospice or the Council on Aging.
