Patrick Michael James, 54, of St. Clair passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 13, 2016.

He was born August 5, 1961 in Port Huron to Gerald and Carol James.

Patrick lived most of his life, and attended school, in Marysville. He was currently living with his dear friend and companion, Rene McBride. His life was dedicated to his children, Riley and Garrett. Patrick played hockey for years and was also a coach with the Port Huron Minor Hockey Association.

Patrick was a land surveyor, having been employed with Dunn Construction Engineering, James Land Surveying, BMJ Surveying and currently was employed by George Jerome and Company in Roseville, Michigan.

He is survived by his children, Riley and Garrett James; parents, Jerry and Carol James; sister, Michelle (Patrick) Malone; aunts and uncles, Janet Motte, Peggy and Gary Thorley and Barbara Lasky; dear friend and companion, Rene McBride; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Sunday in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 am Monday, July 18, 2016 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.

Memorials may be made to the Port Huron Minor Hockey Association or his children's scholarship fund with checks payable to Riley James.
