Norma Jean Caughel, 79, of Wales Township, went to be with the Lord peacefully at home on Thursday, December 28, 2017.

She was born November 12, 1938 in a little house in Lambs, Michigan not far from the home in which she was reared and also raised her family. She married the love of her life, Walter John Caughel Sr. on April 2, 1960 and they had four children.

Norma Jean was a hard worker and put her all into everything she did from her many roles in ministry to the variety of jobs she held throughout her life. She believed in doing all things to the glory of God. She also enjoyed doing crafts, reading and gardening. However, her greatest passion was for spending time with her family and sharing the love of Jesus which she did every day of her life.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Walter; three children, Walter (Deborah) Caughel Jr., Scott (Carla) Caughel and Lori Ann Caughel; two grandchildren, Allison and Aaron Caughel, whom she cherished with all her heart; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son, John Caughel; parents, Howard and Norma Hill; and siblings, Howard Jr., Hershel, Theresa, Ethel and Vonda.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 in First United Methodist Church. A celebration luncheon will follow at Christians for a New Tomorrow Church located in the Wurzel Flea Market, 4189 Keewahdin Road.

Burial will be in Lambs Cemetery, Wales Township, following the luncheon.
