Marian "Nans" Easton, 85, of Marysville, entered into heaven on Friday, November 11, 2016.

She was born April 19, 1931 in Memphis, Michigan, moving to Port Huron as a young girl where she would eventually raise her family.

Marian enjoyed a nearly 40 year career at Mercy Hospital serving as the secretary to six CEO's. Following her retirement, she enjoyed a part time job at the Marysville City Water plant where she enjoyed working with her "guys". Marian also typed office dictation for Port Huron Vascular Clinic. Marian was an active member of St. Christopher Catholic Church.

Marian loved sports and often took first place in her Fantasy Football league. She enjoyed being by the water, and spent many summers at the cottage in Lakeport. Family gatherings were very important to her, especially during the holidays where she could be with her great grandchildren, who she fondly referred to as "the Little People".

Marian is survived by four children, Cynthia "Cindy" Jones, Dr. Jeffrey (Maryann) Easton, Rebekah "Becky" (Eugene) Smith and Gregrey (Julianne) Easton; 13 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and a brother, Dale (Mary Ellen) Schreiber; a brother-in-law, James Engles; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Walt Schreiber; and a sister, Lois Engles.

Visitation will be 2-4:30 and 6-9 p.m. Sunday in the Marysville Funeral Home. A scripture service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Mrs. Easton will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 14, 2016 in St. Christopher Catholic Church. The Rev. James Arwady will officiate.

The Rite of Committal will follow in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Ryan Smith, Jeffrey Easton, Corey Easton, Andrew Luchner, Casey Baker, and special friend, Mike Caza.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Christopher Catholic Church, the People's Clinic, or Blue Water Hospice. To send condolences, visit
