Frances Maria Savedra, 74, of Port Huron, died Saturday, June 3, 2017.

She was born January 22, 1943, in Port Huron, to the late John Savedra and Charlotte Esquibel.

Frances was a graduate of Port Huron High School and was a member and volunteer of the Foster Grandparent Program for many years. She loved to cook and bake and was a "mom" to everyone.

She is survived by her son, Ramon (Susan) Savedra; two grandchildren, Mateo and Maya Savedra; three siblings, John Savedra Jr., Linda Spear and Carmen Curry (Willis Talley); many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her step-mother, Margaret Savedra.

Ms. Savedra will lie in state at Holy Trinity Parish - St. Stephen Catholic Church on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 10 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. The Reverend Jeff Allan will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
