Christine Amelia Helmreich, 66, of Port Huron died Tuesday, February 7, 2017.

She was born June 27, 1950 in Kingston, NY to the late George and Dorothy Studt. She married Floyd Helmreich on August 2, 1975 in Kingston, NY.

Mrs. Helmreich was employed as a teacher at Trinity Lutheran School until her retirement. She was an extraordinary cook and made many beautiful quilts for friends and family. She enjoyed playing the guitar and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an active member at Faith Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Floyd; three children, Aaron Helmreich, Sarah (Jeremy) Dodder, and Michael (Elizabeth) Helmreich; six grandchildren, Owen Dodder, Ella Dodder, Benjamin Dodder, Michael Helmreich, Amy Helmreich and Lukas Helmreich; two brothers, Carl (Mary) Studt and James (Veronica) Studt; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 11, 2017 in Faith Lutheran Church. The Reverend Mark Huff will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
