Betty A. Cole, 94, of Port Huron, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018.

She was born May 27, 1923 in Detroit to the late Bert and Katherine Hilliard. She married Arthur F. Cole on November 6, 1940. They moved to the Port Huron area in 1952 when Art was transferred by Wonder Bread. They moved into their Marysville home in 1954. He preceded her in death on July 5, 2000.

Betty was a member of Marysville United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Cornell Chapter #93 O.E.S., past president of Marysville Lioness Club and active in Girl and Boy Scouts. She enjoyed camping and trailer traveling, Bingo, watching the Red Wings and Tigers, and spending time with her grandchildren. Betty always said, "I've had a good life, a husband who was my best friend, four children who kept life interesting, six grandchildren who added the spice to it, then add five great grandchildren. I love them all!"

She is survived by her children, Wayne J. Cole, Sharon (William) Shepherd and Joanne (Thomas) Grace; six grandchildren, Michael Cole, Jason Cole, Roberta Ransom, Jamie Grace, Elisha Cole and Douglas Cole; five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her son, Arthur F. Cole II; and brothers, James and Robert Hilliard.

A memorial service will be held in the spring.

Memorials may be made to Marysville United Methodist Church.
